And the truth of the matter is that every woman’s body is going to react differently, and even every pregnancy that a woman has is going to be different from the others. With all the things that can transpire during pregnancy, it can be scary waters for a new mother-to-be to enter. There’s no reason to fear, because billions of mothers have already traveled this way, and although every journey is different, there are enough similarities among women to piece together a useful roadmap for you. Also, there are legions of healthcare professionals including doctors, midwives, nurses, nutrtionists, PAs, and other specialists who have devoted their lives to bringing healthy babies into the world.

As soon as you find out that you’re pregnant, it’s necessary to get your butt to the doctor to make sure everything’s going ok so far. After you find out everything is doing well, the planning process must begin full swing. You need to decide if you want to go the hospital delivery route, or if you’d like more peaceful surroundings with a midwife. Also, you’ll want to double check your diet and make sure you’re eating tons of vegetables, fruits, and proteins to give your baby all the essential nutrients it needs to grow. Morning sickness might prevent you from eating some foods during your pregnancy, even foods that are considered healthy. Pay attention to what your body’s telling you, and even listen to your cravings.
